JACKSON (Feb. 11, 2011) -- The Michigan Shakespeare Festival announces auditions for our 2011 season, which consists of Much Ado About Nothing, The Winter’s Tale and Moliere’s Tartuffe, performed in repertory July 14-August 7 in the Baughman Theatre at Jackson Community College.
Auditions will be held:
- 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, March 5 at the Hilberry Theatre rehearsal hall, 4743 Cass Avenue Detroit, MI 4820
- 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday, March 6 at the Jackson Symphony Orchestra Rehearsal Hall, 215 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49201
Please prepare two contrasting Shakespeare monologues totaling no more than four minutes in length.

- 3 young actors (2 boys, 1 girl) ages 11-15

Contract Salary:
2 Equity, $339 minimum
12 non-Equity, $200 average/wk + housing
stipends for young actors
Breakdown:
All actors will appear in all shows

Much Ado opens July 16
Tartuffe opens July 22
The Winter's Tale opens July 23
Close: Aug. 7 with possible extension to Aug. 14
